No Seung-hee has ascended to become a 'Major Queen.'
On the 16th, at the Rainbow Hills Country Club (Par 72, 6,756 yards) in Eumseong-gun, Chungbuk, during the 4th round of the DB Group 38th Korea Women's Open, the second major tournament of the KLPGA Tour season with a total prize of 1.2 billion KRW, she added 1 under par to complete a commanding 4-stroke victory (13 under par, 275 strokes). This is her first championship after 120 tournaments since her debut in 2020. She maintained the top position on the leaderboard throughout the four days, achieving a 'wire-to-wire' victory. The winner's prize money was 300 million KRW.
No Seung-hee started with a 4-stroke lead and recorded 4 birdies, 1 bogey, and 1 double bogey. She recovered from a double bogey on the 2nd hole (par 4) with stepping-stone birdies on the 4th and 6th holes but lost a stroke again with a bogey on the 9th hole (par 4), finishing the front nine 1 over par. However, consecutive birdies on the 12th and 13th holes widened the gap from her competitors, and she maintained par on the remaining 5 holes to claim her first-ever championship trophy. She rose to 1st place in the points ranking (257 points) and 2nd in the prize money ranking (548,827,760 KRW).
Kim Su-ji finished as runner-up, reducing 1 stroke (9 under par, 279 strokes). Kim Min-byeol took 3rd place (8 under par, 280 strokes), Bae So-hyun 4th (7 under par, 281 strokes), and Bang Shin-sil along with amateur Rian Michaela Malixi (Philippines) tied for 5th place (5 under par, 283 strokes). Two years ago, Yoon Ina, who was penalized for not reporting after making an Ogu play in this tournament, finished tied for 7th place (4 under par, 284 strokes). Lee Se-hee was 9th (2 under par, 286 strokes), and defending champion Hong Ji-won tied for 10th place (1 under par, 287 strokes).
