Operations of the Busan Metro have been suspended following a report of a suspected explosive device installed on a platform at a metro station.

At around 2:51 PM on the 15th, when a Busan Metro train arrived at Gumnam Station on Line 2, an announcement was made stating, "Train operations are suspended due to suspicion of an explosive device installed on platform 4 at Gumnam Station."

A military unit was dispatched and is conducting an investigation at the suspected location where the explosive device is believed to have been placed. Train operations have been halted for over 40 minutes.

Passengers waited inside the train for several tens of minutes, and as the resumption of train service was delayed, many reportedly transferred to other means of transportation.
