On the 15th, Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, directly criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, for his remark to the media that they "receive information like a prosecutorial pet dog and diligently distort and manipulate it," asking, "Is this a rehearsal for dictatorship?"

On the same day, Na posted on her social media (SNS) Facebook, saying, "Lee Jae-myung, who calls the media a pet dog, is this a rehearsal for dictatorship?" She added, "Lee Jae-myung, who slanders the media that conveys the substance of serious crimes to the public as a pet dog, makes one doubt the basic standards beyond faction and ideology." She continued, "If it is not true, it is enough to reveal it in court based on evidence and legal principles," and said, "Nevertheless, Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party are threatening the prosecution by even mentioning impeachment of prosecutors, pressuring the judiciary, and now even threatening the media."

Before attending the trial related to the 'violation of the Public Official Election Act' held at the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul, the previous day, Lee said to reporters, "This case is a rare fabricated case and will eventually be revealed." In particular, he said to the media, "When a state power agency called the prosecution fabricates a case and provides faulty information, they diligently take it down and manipulate it, but even when objective facts contrary to that come out, they show no interest at all," adding, "Rather than reporting the truth, aren’t they like the prosecution’s pet dog, taking the information given and diligently distorting and manipulating it?"

Na said, "The constitutional order and democracy of the Republic of Korea are being suffocated solely to prevent the punishment of one person’s crime and to open the way for that person to the presidency," and "Lee Jae-myung, who leads all of this, is an enemy of the rule of law and an incarnation of privilege who reigns above the people." She continued, "If a report exposes Lee Jae-myung’s flaws, it is called a pet dog, and only reports siding with Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party can be called media?" She asked, "How much more must the investigative agencies, legislature, and courts of the Republic of Korea be trampled and threatened for 'Lee Jae-myung’s shield'?" Na asserted, "The entire Republic of Korea is being toyed with by just one person, Lee Jae-myung," calling it "a truly sad and infuriating reality."
