On the 14th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they summoned Lee from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes to investigate charges including trespassing and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act. This investigation followed a complaint filed against Lee in February by the Free Press People's Union and the Seoul Christian Federation.

It is known that Lee personally purchased the luxury bag and cosmetics that Pastor Choi Jaeyoung gave to First Lady Kim, and also prepared the hidden camera that recorded the scene of Pastor Choi meeting with the First Lady.

After the investigation ended that day, Lee told reporters, "I was mainly questioned about the undercover reporting that Pastor Choi mentioned the day before," adding, "Since I was thoroughly investigated for 5 hours and 30 minutes, we just need to wait for the investigation results."

The police reportedly focused their investigation on the circumstances under which Lee purchased and gifted the luxury bag, the process of reporting and coverage, and the communication between Lee and Pastor Choi.

Meanwhile, the day before, Pastor Choi was investigated for about 6 hours and 35 minutes on charges of secretly filming the scene where he handed the luxury bag to First Lady Kim. It was confirmed that CEO Baek, who was also accused along with them, refused the police summons.
