Visit to Buhung Middle School, Safety Exercise and Injury Prevention Education
Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) School Enterprise Sports Rehabilitation Center visited Buhung Middle School to provide health and safety education for Taekwondo athletes.
The DIT Sports Rehabilitation Center taught Taekwondo athletes useful flexibility improvement exercises, strength training, and balance and stability exercises, as well as sports taping education to help prevent injuries.
Additionally, exercise programs for pain relief were introduced for athletes experiencing pain, and efforts were made to promote the health and safety of the athletes. The importance of customized rehabilitation exercises tailored to each athlete was also emphasized, depending on the type and severity of the injury.
Song Minyoung, Director of the DIT Sports Rehabilitation Center, said, "We will do our best to prevent sports injuries and ensure the health and safety of the athletes," and added, "We will continue to faithfully carry out sports rehabilitation education for local youth and health promotion programs for community residents so that the university and the local community can grow together."
The DIT School Enterprise Sports Rehabilitation Center has been selected for the 'Phase 3 School Enterprise Support Project,' which has provided support for five years since 2020. The center operates various programs each year based on student practice and local community needs, and aims to foster sports rehabilitation experts for the development of the local sports industry.
