Modiso! Taste it! Enjoy it!
Gyeongbuk Disabled Welfare Center Yeongyang Branch (Director Choi Eunyoung) received great response on the 14th by operating the 'Visiting Mobile Welfare Center Modiso! Matboso! Jeulgiso!' program at the Seonbawi District Community Welfare Center in Ibam-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, targeting over 80 people including disabled residents of the district, village residents, and users of the Cheonggi-myeon Sheltered Workshop.
The Visiting Mobile Welfare Center project provides customized welfare services to people with disabilities who are in welfare blind spots due to inconvenient transportation and limited accessibility to the center.
Main welfare services included Andong Medical Center's Happy Hospital medical consultations, promotion of the public medical cooperation system project, Yeongyang-gun Health Center oriental medicine consultations and mental health experience booth, Happy Photo, mobile laundry, woodworking experience at Yeongyang Wood Culture Experience Center, and beauty/hair services. These allowed people with disabilities and residents to enjoy a variety of experiences they needed. Volunteer activities were also carried out by the Women's Association of the Barugesalgi Movement Yeongyang County Council, the Women's Association of the Veterans Association, and the Ibam-myeon Health Keepers.
Director Choi Eunyoung said, "Through the Visiting Mobile Welfare Center event, we will do our best to provide a variety of welfare services tailored to the needs of local people with disabilities, create opportunities for communication with the local community, and foster a warm community atmosphere."
County Governor Oh Dochang expressed, "I would like to thank the Gyeongbuk Disabled Welfare Center Yeongyang Branch and the volunteers for preparing this event, and I hope that through the Visiting Mobile Welfare Center, both people with disabilities and residents will continue to experience a variety of programs in the future."
