A Man in His 50s Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Senior's Daughter He Treated Like a Close Uncle

A man in his 50s who sexually assaulted the daughter of a senior colleague, whom he treated like a close uncle, has been arrested.

According to the legal community on the 14th, the Nonsan Branch of Daejeon District Court issued an arrest warrant for Mr. A (50), who is accused of sexually assaulting the junior's daughter and causing injury by rape.

Mr. A is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting Ms. B (22), the senior colleague's daughter, at his office and a motel several times between November 22 and 29, 2021.

Mr. A was a senior-junior acquaintance of Ms. B's father in the neighborhood and approached Ms. B by saying he would "give her driving practice," then took her to places where she could not return alone and sexually assaulted her.

After being sexually assaulted by Mr. A, Ms. B showed symptoms of anxiety and suffered from nightmares. The crime was revealed when Ms. B confessed to her parents about the sexual assault by Mr. A.

Mr. A threatened Ms. B by saying, "If you tell your parents about this, I will kill your father and mother," and continued to rape and molest her. Ms. B suffered mental trauma, including a cognitive ability equivalent to that of a 4-year-old child, and made an extreme choice in August last year.

Mr. A reportedly denied the sexual assault charges to the investigation authorities, stating, "I admit to having sexual relations with Ms. B, but it was consensual."
