At this Naju workshop, ahead of the second relocation of public institutions, the group visited the headquarters of Korea Electric Power Corporation to hear about current operations, and visited Korea Energy University, established to overcome the crisis of local extinction, to examine university management and students' difficulties.

At the National Naju Museum, they viewed a special exhibition introducing earthenware with figurine decorations excavated from the Silla and Gaya regions.

Shin Jeong-hoon, Chairman of the Public Administration and Security Committee, said, “Naju has long been regarded as a model case of local autonomy, and I am pleased that through this Mokmin Forum we can present a more advanced cooperation model. It was a meaningful occasion where former heads of basic local governments gathered to better reflect local voices in the National Assembly and find ways to cooperate for regional development.”

He added, “To create a country where hope exists even in local areas, we will strengthen cooperation through active networking between regions and overcome the crisis of local extinction.”
