Hobby Course Program Runs Until July 8
Various Wines Tasted Directly, Sommelier Participation
The Jeonnam Gokseong-gun Future Education Foundation announced that the ‘2024 Chilling Chilling Wine Class’ program is receiving great responses from the participants.
In May, 27 local residents, including wine enthusiasts and beginners, were recruited, and since June 10, the program has been running every Monday as a hobby course with a total of 5 sessions for both day and night classes until July 8.
Through the ‘Wine Class,’ which was not easily accessible in Gokseong, participants can learn about the main grape varieties, producing countries, and the history and culture of wine.
Additionally, participants can directly taste various wines every week to learn about the aroma and flavor of wine. Experts such as Jae-yoon Ko, President of the Korea Sommelier Association, and Jung-min Ahn, France’s nationally certified top sommelier, are participating to ensure a substantial program.
A foundation official stated, “The wine class is a great opportunity for residents who were not interested in wine to learn about and enjoy it,” adding, “Last year, the ‘Healing Wine Class’ was conducted as a hobby course and beginner course (with 12 graduates), and the participants showed high satisfaction. This year, the program is being held again at the request of local residents.”
