Illicafe Seolleung Justcota Tower Branch Opens New Concept Signature Store

Illycaffe, the Italian luxury brand, has opened a new concept signature store near Seolleung Station at the POSCO intersection, known as the showroom of world-renowned luxury coffee brands.


Quro F&B (CEO: Jo Jung-ki), the exclusive partner of illycaffe SpA, an Italian coffee brand with 91 years of tradition, announced that it has opened a new concept illycaffe signature store at the Gangnam POSCO intersection in collaboration with the global shared office company JustCo.


The newly opened illycaffe Seolleung JustCo branch breaks away from the standardized illycaffe interior concept and adopts a hybrid concept focused on the Korean market. Illy coffee, made only with specialty beans from the top 1%, recently succeeded in re-certification with the highest score of 90.4 points for the global top eco-friendly certification mark B Corp. This is the highest score among Italian coffee brands and represents illy’s eco-friendly efforts to create perfect coffee through ethical and sustainable management.


To provide an enhanced and rich coffee experience, illy has adopted the natural language of art to engage with customers and showcase its art brand characteristics. At the first-floor entrance, a magnificent large chandelier made with art collection cups created in collaboration with famous artists worldwide is installed. In cooperation with JustCo, the spacious first-floor lobby is also designed as a communication space where customers can experience the brand along with various cultural events hosted by illycaffe. On the menu side, for the first time at a global illycaffe location, newly interpreted espresso menus in Korean style are introduced alongside premium European espresso options. Additionally, an MD Retail Block is set up where customers can purchase illy’s signature coffee machines, beans, and merchandise.


To celebrate the launch of the Seolleung JustCo Tower branch, various promotions are underway. On the opening day, a special performance by a string classical quintet was held to offer beautiful melodies to customers weary from the heat. From the 13th to the 30th, customers who purchase over 30,000 KRW will receive illy Moleskine notebooks and pencils on a first-come, first-served basis. Furthermore, a goodie bag set consisting of a limited edition illy eco bag, travel mug, and espresso-compatible capsules designed by world-renowned illustrator Olimpia Zagnoli is being sold at discounts of over 60%. The goodie bag set features a simple design highlighting illy’s signature red color and logo, boasting high usability. During the event period, customers who make purchases will also be entered into a draw to win various products including the premium coffee machine X7.1, illy’s representative coffee machine Y3.3, and a milk frother that produces milk foam softer than clouds.


Yoon Sang-jin, Executive Director and Head of Marketing at illycaffe Korea, said, “We are very pleased to open a new concept signature store in the heart of Gangnam, Seoul’s core business district, through collaboration with the global shared office JustCo.” He added, “As a signature store, we have prepared with utmost effort to allow customers to feel the culture of illy.” To commemorate the opening, illy will offer a limited edition art collection cup set by artist Lee Ufan as part of the illy global art project, and for customers who wish, coffee will be served using illy art collections created in collaboration with global artists, showcasing diverse and distinctive services.


The illycaffe Seolleung JustCo Tower branch is expected to create another ripple in the Seolleung Station area, which has become a battleground for famous coffee brands. As a brand providing premium services, it plans to firmly establish its position as a must-visit coffee brand.
