RNT Technology announced on the 14th that it successfully concluded 'PCIM Europe 2024' (Power Conversion Intelligent Motion), held for three days from the 11th to the 13th of this month.
PCIM is the world's largest semiconductor exhibition. This year's event featured global companies from various industries such as electrical and electronics, semiconductors, power, and energy, showcasing the latest technologies. The exhibition serves as a platform for companies to unveil a wide range of products including ▲power electronics ▲smart drives ▲renewable energy and energy management.
At this exhibition, RNT Technology introduced a total of seven product lines of its new growth core business, the ‘ceramic heat dissipation substrates for electric vehicles.’ These products feature an integrated spacer design, allowing for versatile implementation without being constrained by specific shapes or thicknesses during power module design, thus offering high design flexibility. Compared to conventional heat dissipation substrates, they have improved thermal resistance and thermal shock performance, and have successfully reduced thermal stress dramatically.
As the electric vehicle market rapidly grows, the importance of power semiconductors for electric vehicles is becoming more prominent. The biggest issue with power semiconductors is the generation of high temperatures, and heat dissipation substrates are key components that address this problem. RNT Technology’s heat dissipation substrates quickly release heat externally, significantly enhancing the stability of power semiconductors.
An RNT Technology representative stated, “Following the unveiling of our products and solutions at this exhibition, we received considerable interest and product inquiries from more than 150 domestic and international customers, including global power semiconductor power module companies, automobile manufacturers, research institutes, and universities,” adding, “Visitors actively expressed their intention to conduct sample tests, mentioning specific applications.”
He continued, “Through this exhibition, we confirmed the excellence of RNT Technology’s ceramic heat dissipation substrate products for electric vehicles, our new growth business, and we are pleased to promote them in the global market,” emphasizing, “We plan to actively expand further into the electric vehicle market and the power module market for power semiconductors.”
