Gyeonggi-do Publishes Commentary on Major Land-Related Laws

Gyeonggi Province recently published a commentary book on major land-related laws.

On the 14th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it had published the "2024 Commentary on Major Land-Related Laws," which organizes the contents of major laws related to urban planning, such as the "Act on the Planning and Use of National Land." Gyeonggi Province has been publishing commentary books on laws since 2007, and this year's edition is the 18th revised edition.

This revised edition includes amendments and newly enacted provisions of 40 major land-related laws across 10 fields, including national land, urban development and maintenance, and industrial and logistics complexes, from last year's publication up to March of this year.

Some previously included laws have been excluded, and newly enacted laws such as the "Special Act on Maintenance and Support for Aging Planned Cities" and the "Act on the Designation and Operation of Peace Economic Special Zones" have been added.

A Gyeonggi Province official stated, "Among metropolitan local governments, Gyeonggi Province has the most projects underway, and since procedures and key contents differ by individual laws, a broad framework of reference is necessary. This will also help city and county officials improve their understanding of related laws."
