Resolution of 11 Proposals Including Measures to Prevent Rice Price Collapse and Stabilize Prices
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 13th that it held the 12th regular meeting of the Jeonnam Mayors and County Governors Council of the 8th local government at Seungdal Culture and Arts Center.
The regular meeting was attended by about 150 people, including 22 heads of local governments in the province, including Governor Kim San of Muan-gun, and related officials. They engaged in meaningful discussions to communicate current issues between cities and counties and prepare for the second half of the 8th local government term.
After the greeting by Park Woo-ryang, Mayor of Sinan-gun, the regular meeting began with welcoming remarks by Kim San, Governor of Muan-gun, and Lim Dong-hyun, Vice Chairman of the Muan County Council.

Muan-gun introduced the community mother school ‘Mama Hakdang’ as a best practice and shared creative efforts for regional development. In particular, 11 agenda items, including measures to prevent the collapse of rice prices and stabilize prices, were approved and will be proposed to Jeonnam Province and central government ministries.
In his welcoming speech, Governor Kim San emphasized to the attendees, “Let us create Jeonnam, a place where people want to live and visit, through cooperation and alternative measures for the development of the 22 cities and counties.”
At this meeting, Kim Seong, Mayor of Jangheung-gun, was newly elected as the chairman of the Jeonnam Mayors and County Governors Council for the second half of the 8th local government term.
This regular meeting is expected to provide new momentum for cooperation and development among communities in the Jeonnam region and serve as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation among local governments.
Going forward, continuous consultations and cooperation will contribute to improving the welfare of local residents and regional development.
