On the 13th, the Seongbuk Police Station in Seoul announced that they are pursuing the suspect who abandoned the Ddarungi bicycles under Seongbuk 3-gyo Bridge in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. CCTV footage capturing the incident shows that around 4 a.m. on the 12th, a man dressed entirely in black clothing and wearing black gloves appeared in front of the Ddarungi rental station at Seongbuk 3-gyo Bridge. The man suddenly lifted one Ddarungi bicycle and threw it under the bridge. He then proceeded to throw all the Ddarungi bicycles in front of the bridge into the stream without hesitation.

Passing cars seemed startled and hesitated, but the man continued throwing the bicycles without concern. In less than two minutes, he threw all 12 Ddarungi bicycles into the stream and quickly left the scene.

Meanwhile, Ddarungi is a public bicycle service operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, allowing users to rent and return bicycles anywhere where rental stations are installed. Currently, about 40,000 Ddarungi bicycles are in operation across approximately 2,500 rental stations.
