On the 13th, StageX announced plans to build the 'X-Platform,' centered on cloud infrastructure and an artificial intelligence (AI) operation-based platform.

First, to secure the stability, speed, and efficiency of cloud-based infrastructure, the infrastructure architecture design was completed using the latest technologies. The cloud infrastructure plans to encompass all components necessary for telecommunications business, including the core network.

A StageX official stated, "If this technology is commercialized, it will become the first domestic telecom company to build the entire core network based on the cloud," adding, "We are conducting specific projects with top-tier cloud companies both domestically and internationally."

The communication platform is promoting the design of an AI system for stable operation. The goal is to continuously collect and analyze service quality and network equipment status to maintain optimal operating conditions.

They are developing technology to efficiently process massive real-time data and manage communication quality in real time.

Since StageX is considering not having offline stores, it faces the challenge of responding quickly to customer demands online. Accordingly, they plan to develop technology that enables immediate customer response within the application and early detection of service failures.

Once applied, this technology will allow immediate response to sudden increases in communication usage and minimize customer inconvenience even if some systems encounter problems through diversification.

Additionally, preparations are underway to provide differentiated 5G services by conducting mutual technical consultations with multiple vendors to ensure compatibility between base station equipment and software.

Ji-yoon Kim, Chief Technology Officer of StageX, said, "The X-Platform focuses on reliably implementing the best performance using the latest technologies," adding, "We plan to promptly complete partner selection in each area and begin full-scale infrastructure construction work."

Seop An, a professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Korea University, said, "Cloudification of the communication core network has the advantage of significantly reducing risk factors through diversification processing even during disasters such as earthquakes or fires."

Jong-se Park, a professor in the Department of Computer Science at KAIST, stated, "Building the entire core network based on the cloud using virtualization technology is the first case among domestic telecom companies," adding, "It is very meaningful for both the cloud and telecommunications industries and will contribute to industrial and technological development."
