Hyundai Card "Partnering with Tsutaya and Hankyu to Offer Japan Travel Benefits"

500,000 Hyundai Card Users Visited Japan Last Year

Hyundai Card is partnering with leading Japanese brands and museums to introduce a ‘Japan Partnership Service’ exclusively for Hyundai Card members.


According to Hyundai Card on the 13th, they have formed partnerships with a total of six entities, including four brands and two museums, for this service. It offers various benefits at popular Japanese travel destinations frequented by Hyundai Card members, such as bookstores, shopping, and cultural sites.

At ‘Tsutaya,’ a complex cultural space known as a futuristic bookstore, members can use the shared space ‘Share Lounge’ free of charge for one hour. This voucher is valid at three locations: Daikanyama, Roppongi, and Shibuya in Tokyo. At the premium caf? ‘Anjin,’ operated at the Daikanyama branch, members can enjoy one free drink per accompanying guest, up to three people, when ordering meals or desserts.


Shopping facilities also offer benefits. The large retailer ‘Bic Camera,’ which sells electronics and miscellaneous goods, provides a free delivery service for purchased items to hotels or airports. This service is normally charged between 1,600 and 2,420 yen (13,969 to 21,133 KRW) per item locally. The leading Japanese department store group ‘Hankyu Hanshin’ issues a discount card called the ‘VIP Club Card’ exclusively for Hyundai Card premium credit card holders. This card offers up to 10% discounts and priority duty-free services at the Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store in Osaka and Hankyu Men’s Tokyo Store.


The National Art Center Tokyo and the National Museum of Western Art provide two free tickets for special exhibitions. The National Art Center Tokyo hosts exhibitions by artists such as Tadao Ando, Yayoi Kusama, and Issey Miyake. The National Museum of Western Art houses authentic works by Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Rodin, and others.


Online travel agency ‘Rakuten Travel’ offers accommodation benefits to some premium members. Until December 31, when booking four nights, one night is provided free of charge. Detailed information can be found on the Japan Partnership Service page within the Hyundai Card application.

Last year, approximately 500,000 Hyundai Card members traveled to Japan, marking an increase of over 600% compared to 70,000 in 2021. The number of repeat visits was also high. Among Hyundai Card members who visited Japan last year, two out of ten visited Japan more than twice within the same year. A Hyundai Card representative said, “We considered what special experiences only Hyundai Card members could enjoy to meet the steadily increasing travel demand, and through this, we have introduced new benefits that encompass members’ lifestyles. We will continue to plan services that enhance and broaden the quality of experiences for Hyundai Card members.”
