Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Suwon (center), is attending the completion ceremony of the 2nd annex parking lot at Paldal-gu Health Center on the 12th and cutting the ribbon.
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province has completed the construction of the 2nd annex parking lot at Paldal-gu Public Health Center.
The 2nd annex parking lot, built on a 1,227㎡ site in front of Paldal-gu Public Health Center, has a capacity of 41 parking spaces. With the completion of the 2nd annex parking lot, the total number of parking spaces at Paldal-gu Public Health Center has increased to 74, including the existing parking lot with 33 spaces.
Suwon City invested 8.64 billion KRW in the construction project of the 2nd annex parking lot. The plan was established in 2015, and the parking lot was completed last month, nine years later.
To commemorate the completion, Suwon City will temporarily open the 2nd annex parking lot for free starting today. It is planned to switch to paid parking next month after installing an unmanned payment system, while the existing parking lot will continue to operate free of charge.
The completion ceremony held on this day was attended by Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Suwon; Kim Ki-jung, Chairman of Suwon City Council; and Kim Young-jin, Member of the National Assembly (Suwon Byeong district), among others.
Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "Paldal-gu Public Health Center, which receives 500 visitors daily, saw many citizens visiting during the COVID-19 period, but there was great inconvenience due to a lack of parking spaces. I would like to thank everyone who worked hard to create the parking lot and the teachers and students of Maesan Elementary School who endured the inconvenience during the construction period."
