Daesun Brewery Receives Appreciation Plaque for Contributions to Gwangalli Eobang Festival

Recognition for Festival Support and Active Eco-Friendly Initiatives

Local company Daesun Distilling received a plaque of appreciation at the “22nd Gwangalli Eobang Festival Commendation and Plaque of Appreciation Ceremony” held in the main conference room of Suyeong District Office on the 5th.

The “Gwangalli Eobang Festival” has been selected as a cultural tourism festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for six consecutive years, establishing itself as one of the region’s leading festivals in Busan. Since last year, it has transformed into an eco-friendly festival by launching a zero single-use campaign, drawing attention from major local governments.

During the festival, Daesun Distilling carried out various eco-friendly activities such as a campaign to collect empty bottles, cleaning the surrounding environment, and supporting the creation of booths for reusable container collection companies. These efforts by Daesun Distilling were well received by residents near the festival site.

Daesun Distilling is taking the lead in creating a sustainable future by conducting environmental clean-up activities in collaboration with environmental organizations in major commercial districts and tourist attractions in Busan, launching “Wine Banbyeong,” which is wine bottled in standard soju bottles, and being the only producer to receive the “Outstanding Empty Container Collection Entity Award.”
