Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is receiving warm helping hands to assist vulnerable neighbors during the heatwave.
First, on the 11th, the district received 100 summer blankets as donations from Pink Rose Bedding (CEO Lee Jin-woo), a local bedding company. On the same day, the moving specialist volunteer group ‘Bongseonhwa’ also donated 50 fans. The donated items will be distributed to each neighborhood and delivered to elderly living alone and households with severe disabilities in the area.
In addition, various sharing events for vulnerable groups are being held throughout Jungnang-gu. On the 12th, the Myeonmok 7-dong Happy Sharing Council will deliver homemade young radish water kimchi to 100 low-income elderly living alone households and 11 senior centers to help the elderly enjoy a cool summer.
Also, the Myeonmok 5-dong Hyo Sarang Volunteer Association plans to serve half-chicken soup meals to 100 senior center elders on the 9th of next month.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We thank Pink Rose Bedding and the moving specialist volunteer group ‘Bongseonhwa’ for preparing donated items to help people stay cool during the hot summer,” adding, “We will carefully ensure that the donated goods are delivered well to neighbors in need.”
