Payment at Local Nonghyup Until the 30th of This Month
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the payment deadline for the ‘2024 Public Interest Allowance for Farmers and Fishermen,’ aimed at enhancing the public interest functions of farmers, fishermen, and foresters, has been extended until June 30.
The ‘2024 Public Interest Allowance for Farmers and Fishermen’ is provided as a 600,000 KRW Boseong Sarang Gift Certificate per household and has been distributed through local agricultural cooperatives since April 24. As of June 5, 9,278 out of the total 9,587 eligible recipients, accounting for 96.8%, have received the allowance.
Eligible recipients can receive the allowance by presenting their ID for identity verification at the local agricultural cooperative in their jurisdiction until June 30, and receive it in the form of Boseong Sarang Gift Certificates.
Additionally, if the recipient is deceased or unable to receive the allowance directly due to unavoidable reasons such as hospitalization, a proxy receipt confirmation can be issued at the administrative welfare center (myeon office) of their residential area and submitted to the agricultural cooperative, allowing direct ascendants, descendants, or household members to receive the allowance on their behalf.
A county official stated, “We are actively guiding through the eup and myeon offices to ensure no eligible recipients miss out on the allowance,” adding, “We hope that the payment of the public interest allowance will help stabilize the management of struggling farms and revitalize the local economy.”
