[Click eStock] "Cube Entertainment, Sales Growth Expected Due to Increased Activities of (G)I-DLE"

The Korea IR Association analyzed on the 11th that Cube Entertainment is expected to see sales growth due to increased activities of (G)I-DLE.


Cube Entertainment is a comprehensive entertainment company that nurtures artists and plans albums. Currently, the representative artist of the company is (G)I-DLE. In addition, the company also operates a cosmetics business and exclusively imports and distributes the Thai premium fruit and vegetable juice brand TIPCO in Korea. The sales composition is Entertainment (56.7%), Cosmetics (40.1%), and Distribution (3.2%).


Kim Taehyun, a researcher at the Korea IR Association, stated in the report, "The entertainment division's sales grew at an average annual rate of 28.2% over the past four years, from 29.8 billion KRW in 2019 to 80.7 billion KRW last year," and analyzed that "the biggest factor in sales growth is the success of (G)I-DLE."


(G)I-DLE, who debuted in 2018, established themselves as K-Pop stars with the popularity of TOMBOY in March 2022. After releasing the album 2 in January this year, they are scheduled to release a new album in July.


He forecasted, "With plans for a world tour concert in the second half of the year, the entertainment division's sales this year are expected to increase by 32.1% to 106.5 billion KRW, continuing the growth trend."


He also explained, "NOWADAYS, a five-member boy group debuting under Cube Entertainment for the first time in eight years since PENTAGON, debuted in April this year," and added, "NOWADAYS achieved sales of over 40,000 copies within three days of their new release and was nominated for first place on 'The Show' within seven days of debut."


He continued, "The title track OoWee surpassed 10 million views on its music video within five days of release," and analyzed, "As the activities for their first debut album are gradually concluding, attention should be paid to their future trajectory and fandom formation."
