Dongjak-gu to Host 'Admission Special Lecture' as the Key to 2025 University Early Admission Success

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that it will hold a special lecture on college entrance exams to help local examinees and parents successfully plan their admissions in line with the changes in the 2025 academic year university early admission system.

First, on the 15th, a ‘Special Lecture on College Entrance Exams with a Guest Speaker for Preparing for the 2025 Academic Year Early Admission’ will be held at the district office auditorium for 300 students and parents residing or studying in the area.

The lecture will be held for about two hours starting at 10:30 a.m., with Lee Young-deok, former director of Daesung Academic Development Research Institute, as the speaker, delivering a lecture titled ‘2025 Early Admission! Find the KEY to Success!’

The main topics include ▲Understanding the 2025 university admission system ▲Analysis of the June mock exam by the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation ▲University-specific early admission guidelines and reasonable early application strategies. The lecture will provide high-quality admission information, including the latest trends such as the increase in medical school quotas, to address the questions of examinees and parents.

Additionally, from the 22nd to July 20th, over a total of five weeks, ‘One-Point Admission Special Lectures’ will be held every Saturday at the Dongjak Admission Support Center (19, Shindaebang 1-da-gil) program room.

The special lectures will invite admission experts such as Kim Jin-seok, chief lecturer of EBSi admission explanation sessions, and Jeong Je-won, a teacher at Sungui Girls’ High School, to provide tailored admission information by target and topic and help establish systematic study strategies.

The first week’s lecture covers career paths and admissions suited to one’s child’s characteristics; the second week covers early admission preparation for humanities, social sciences, education, and arts and physical education fields; the third week covers high school credit system study planning; the fourth week covers early admission preparation for medical, pharmaceutical, engineering, and natural science fields; and the fifth week provides a comprehensive summary of the 2028 college entrance reform plan, covering a wide range of topics from high school admission to university entrance exams.

Each lecture will accept about 40 participants, recruiting a total of 200 on a first-come, first-served basis. Students in the district, out-of-school youth, and parents can all participate. Applications can be made through the Dongjak-gu Office website according to the application period for each lecture.

For more details about the admission explanation session and special lectures, inquiries can be made by phone to the Dongjak Admission Support Center.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, “Through this customized admission program, we will provide high-quality career and admission information to solve the admission concerns of students and parents in the district,” adding, “We will continue to take the lead in revitalizing public education through the Dongjak Admission Support Center, which has established itself as a public admission hub.”
