Gangbuk-gu Mayor Lee Soon-hee Strengthens Communication by Attending Environmental Officials Event and More

Seoul Gangbuk District Mayor Lee Soon-hee attended the sports event for environmental public officers belonging to the Gangbuk District Public Officials Branch of the National Democratic General Labor Union held in Uidong on the 5th.


The sports event, hosted by the Gangbuk District Public Officials Branch of the National Democratic General Labor Union, was held as a time for physical activities and unity to promote health and foster camaraderie.


At the event, Mayor Lee expressed her gratitude and praised the environmental public officers who work hard every day to maintain cleanliness for the residents of Gangbuk District.


Additionally, the district held a meeting on the 30th of last month to encourage and communicate with the environmental public officers. Sixty-eight environmental public officers attended the meeting, where Mayor Lee Soon-hee personally listened to their suggestions. The district plans to actively review their opinions and suggestions regarding their duties and reflect them in future Clean Gangbuk projects.


Meanwhile, Gangbuk District is striving to improve welfare benefits to boost morale and work efficiency of environmental public officers. In the first half of this year, support was provided including overseas industrial inspections for exemplary and outstanding environmental public officers, holiday and birthday gifts, child tuition loans, summer work uniforms, and improvements to working conditions such as maintenance of rest areas and restrooms.


Mayor Lee Soon-hee of Gangbuk District said, “I am grateful for your constant efforts to ensure a pleasant living environment for the residents of Gangbuk District, and I ask you to be careful to prevent safety accidents during the summer season. We will continue to pay close attention and work hard to improve the welfare of environmental public officers.”
