Education Provided for Social Welfare Facilities and Institutions
Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province held a promotional and educational session for the "Initiate Greetings First" campaign on the 7th at the county office's main conference room, targeting the heads of 12 local social welfare facilities and institutions.
This training was the third of its kind, following previous sessions in April for existing beauty salon and general restaurant owners. It is part of the county's comprehensive 2024 "Initiate Greetings First" campaign plan (five key focus areas), which aims to establish a culture of greeting others first both inside and outside the public office.
Under the theme "Courtesy of a Dignified Leader," the training explained through real-life examples that the level of kindness shown by staff toward customers (civil petitioners) is closely related to the kindness displayed by the institution head. It emphasized that for the institution's image and the staff's courteousness, the head must take the lead in being friendly.
The county plans to continue promoting and providing education on the "Initiate Greetings First" campaign at social and institutional group meetings and various events, encouraging participation and spreading the atmosphere to drive positive change in Uljin County.
County Governor Son Byeongbok stated, "Greeting is the first step in building relationships, and a warm, bright greeting initiated first can change a relationship in just a few seconds. My image is the image of our institution, and ultimately the image of Uljin County. As we enter the era of 10 million tourists, I urge everyone to actively participate in the 'Initiate Greetings First' campaign to make Uljin a place people want to visit again."
