New 'Mansahyungtong' KakaoTalk Channel Launched...1:1 Customized Chronic Disease Management Service Provided
8-Week Health Class Participation...Weekly Information on Hypertension, Diabetes, Dyslipidemia
Real-Time Expert Consultation Available, 'Show Off My Healthy Meal' Event from 10th to 14th This Month
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has launched the KakaoTalk channel ‘Mansahyungtong’ to help prevent and manage cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in daily life.
‘Mansahyungtong’ is an abbreviation for Customized Integrated Management of Chronic Disease Management Projects. It created a non-face-to-face communication channel so that health management can be done anytime without visiting the public health center.
In particular, it aims to improve access to health information for people in their 20s and 30s, whose awareness of hypertension and diabetes is relatively low.
After adding the channel, sending your name in the chat room will trigger an automatic message introducing the ‘Non-face-to-face Health Class.’ Those who wish to participate can receive videos and card news about hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia once a week for 8 weeks. It also provides guidance on self-blood pressure measurement, low-sodium diets, and exercise methods to help form healthy lifestyle habits.
Additionally, real-time one-on-one customized consultations are offered. Sending a chat message on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. will connect you with a professional counselor for assistance. Furthermore, from the 10th to the 14th of this month, a participatory event is held where participants can submit photos of healthy meals they have eaten.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We started operating the KakaoTalk channel to promote the health of the younger generation who are familiar with mobile usage,” and added, “We have packed useful information for the prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, so we hope many people will use it.”
‘Mansahyungtong,’ operated by the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center, can be subscribed to by entering it in the KakaoTalk search bar or accessing it via the information pattern (QR code).
