Damyang-gun Leads Efforts to Create Safe and Convenient Swimming Pool Environment

Safety Officer Level 2 Certification Training Held at Dambit Swimming Pool

Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do is making efforts to create an environment where residents can use swimming pools conveniently and safely.


According to Damyang-gun on the 10th, since last month, the county has been conducting Level 2 swimming pool safety personnel qualification training at Dambit Swimming Pool.

The purpose is also to provide employment opportunities for job seekers along with creating a safe society.


A total of 24 swimming pool members participated in this training, and the training fee was 250,000 KRW per person, with 180,000 KRW supported by the county budget.


The qualification test included training on worker awareness, crisis response procedures, emergency first aid including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and underwater search. After written and practical exams, all participants successfully obtained their certificates.


One member who participated in the training said, “It was a great opportunity to receive water safety education at the swimming pool I usually use,” and added, “Especially, the part about responding to crisis situations was very helpful.”


County Governor Lee Byeong-no said, “We will strive to enable residents to use public sports facilities more safely and conveniently,” and added, “We will continue to lead in ensuring the safety and health of Damyang residents.”
