Samsung Life Insurance announced on the 10th that it will sell the 'Samsung Plus One Health Insurance,' which provides customized coverage for customers.
Samsung Plus One Health Insurance is a comprehensive health insurance designed to offer customized coverage by allowing customers to choose from various riders. Additionally, a 'Plus Coverage Plan' system has been newly established to provide extra coverage during the periods when coverage is more needed as customers age. The eligible age for subscription is from 15 to 70 years old, and the payment period can be selected from 10, 15, 20, or 30 years.
The Plus Coverage Plan allows customers to choose one of two plans at the time of subscription, with coverage under the selected plan commencing after the insurance premium payment is completed. Among these, the 'Plus Death Coverage Plan' provides death coverage equal to the plan's insured amount, while the 'Plus Senior Coverage Plan' additionally covers 21 types of health-related protections, including diagnosis, hospitalization, nursing care, surgery, and treatment. After selecting a plan, mid-term changes are difficult. Since coverage begins based on the insurance underwriting standards received when the customer was healthy at the time of subscription, there is no need for a separate examination at the time coverage starts, enhancing customer convenience.
This product includes newly developed riders such as the metastatic cancer direct treatment rider and metastatic cancer chemotherapy drug treatment rider. It adds coverage for metastatic cancer, which is a concern due to the extended survival period after cancer occurrence. In addition to the existing primary cancer coverage, the new riders provide diverse coverage for direct treatment of metastatic cancer and high-cost treatment cancers. These riders are not one-time cancer treatment expense coverage that disappears after a single claim but are multi-claim riders that can be claimed up to 10 times, once per year, for a maximum of 10 years.
