On the 9th (local time), at Muirfield Village Golf Club (par 72, 7,571 yards) in Dublin, Ohio, USA, the final round of the Memorial Tournament, a PGA Tour signature event with a total prize money of $20 million, concluded with Im losing one stroke. He rose three spots from a tie for 11th place the previous day to a tie for 8th place (1-under 287). This marks his fourth ‘Top 10’ finish this year and his second consecutive in the last two tournaments.
Im recorded 2 birdies, 1 bogey, and 1 double bogey. After a birdie on the 7th hole (par 5), he lost it with a bogey on the 12th hole (par 3), then made another birdie on the 15th hole (par 5). He was tied for 4th place, having reduced one stroke through the 17th hole (par 4). However, on the final 18th hole (par 4), after sending his tee shot into the rough, he recorded a double bogey, causing his ranking to drop instantly.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) made 1 birdie and 3 bogeys. Despite losing 2 strokes, he secured a one-stroke victory (8-under 280). This was his fifth win of the season and 11th career win since his April RBC Heritage victory, with a winner’s prize of $4 million (approximately 5.5 billion KRW).
Scheffler has shown dominant form this year. He has played in 13 tournaments, winning 5 including one major. He made the cut in all events and finished in the ‘Top 10’ an impressive 12 times. His worst finish was a tie for 17th at the Americas Express in January. Despite a turbulent incident last month where he was arrested on charges of assaulting a police officer during the PGA Championship major but was later cleared, he quickly returned to top form. He currently leads all categories including wins, prize money rankings, and FedEx Cup standings.
Collin Morikawa finished 2nd (7-under 281), and Adam Hadwin (Canada) took 3rd place (5-under 283). World No. 3 Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) struggled with a 4-over par and dropped to a tie for 15th place (2-over 290). Defending champion Viktor Hovland (Norway) is also in this group. From Korea, Kim Si-woo tied for 15th, and An Byeong-hun tied for 22nd (4-over 292). Kim Joo-hyung finished tied for 43rd (9-over 297) to conclude the tournament.
