Jungnang-gu Provides Low-Interest Loans Starting at 1% for Food Hygiene Businesses

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is providing low-interest loans from the Food Promotion Fund to local food hygiene businesses.

The purpose is to alleviate the financial difficulties of food hygiene business operators by offering loans at low interest rates for improving hygiene facilities, while simultaneously raising hygiene standards.

The loan fund amounts to 150 million KRW, with an annual interest rate of 1-2%, and loans of up to 100 million KRW can be provided.

The loan funds can only be used for purposes such as improving or renovating business premises and restrooms within the premises, or installing and maintaining machinery and equipment necessary for operations.

The eligible applicants are operators of food manufacturing and processing businesses, general and casual restaurants, bakeries, and catering companies located in Jungnang-gu. Operators of entertainment and nightclubs, pubs, and other establishments primarily selling alcoholic beverages are excluded.

Business operators wishing to apply for the loan should prepare the required documents and apply at the Woori Bank Jungnang-gu Office branch, which handles the loans. After reviewing the operator’s collateral capability and other criteria, the loan will be granted. Loans are available year-round until the budget is exhausted.

For detailed information on loan eligibility and conditions, please refer to the announcement posted on the Jungnang-gu Office website.

Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi stated, “I hope that through the Jungnang-gu Food Promotion Fund loans, the hygiene standards of local food hygiene businesses will improve and help their management.”
