Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, Receives 'Warm Companionship' Welfare Project 'Positive Reviews'

Kim Kyung-ho, the mayor of Gwangjin-gu, is gaining popularity among residents with his warm 'Companion Welfare' policies that embrace the vulnerable and work together with the local community.

Mayor Kim's welfare policies and philosophy are making Gwangjin-gu a better place to live, receiving high praise especially for various support programs aimed at socially disadvantaged groups.

As a welfare expert who previously served as the Director of Welfare and Health in Seoul, Mayor Kim is promoting diverse welfare projects to improve the quality of life for residents.

In particular, Mayor Kim, who strives to incorporate Mayor Oh Se-hoon's 'Companion' mindset into district administration, is based on the philosophy that "welfare is not just for the vulnerable but for everyone," working to ensure all residents can enjoy a happy life. To this end, he gathers various opinions from the local community and provides customized welfare services reflecting those views.

Following this philosophy, Mayor Kim places great emphasis on policies for the elderly, disabled, and low-income households. He is continuously expanding senior welfare centers, discovering job opportunities for seniors, and communicating with disability organizations to directly hear their voices and reflect them in policies, tirelessly working to improve welfare for marginalized groups.

Additionally, through the "Embracing 200 Households" project and job linkage programs for low-income families, practical assistance is provided to households facing economic difficulties.

Mayor Kim's warm companionship does not stop there. He values communication with local residents, regularly holding community meetings and listening directly to residents' voices through social media.

These communication efforts have earned high trust and support from residents and play a significant role in bringing about tangible changes through his policies.

Alongside this, he pays great attention to welfare for youth and adolescents for the future. In cooperation with Konkuk University and Sejong University, he promotes the "1,000 Won Breakfast" project, supporting youth with necessary language and qualification exam fees. The Gwangjin-type lifelong education voucher, which provides 300,000 won to low-income youth for self-development, has received great enthusiasm from young people.

He is also actively promoting various youth welfare projects such as supporting school trip activity expenses for low-income single-parent families, expanding childcare support for adolescent parents, and providing settlement funds for youth preparing for independence.

Notably, this time, a new project to support water park admission tickets for summer leisure activities for vulnerable children is being launched.

In this way, Mayor Kim Kyung-ho is implementing welfare policies that care for marginalized neighbors and grow together with the local community. His sincere efforts are making Gwangjin-gu a warmer and happier community, earning great love from residents.

Mayor Kim Kyung-ho's welfare vision is expected to continue serving as a solid foundation for a bright future for Gwangjin-gu.
