Experience Events Including Escape Room Games and Face Painting
The Gyeongnam Eastern Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs held the 'June is the Month of Patriots and Veterans, We Remember You' Patriots Culture Festival at Changwon Yongji Culture Park.
The event, held on the 8th, was the second of the annual Patriots and Veterans Culture Festivals. It was organized with a variety of hands-on cultural activities to raise local interest in the Masan Defense Battle, a regional patriotic theme focused on defending the Nakdong River defense line and protecting the temporary capital during the Korean War.
With cooperation from external organizations such as Changwon City and the Changnyeong Park Jin War Memorial Hall, various exhibition and experience booths were set up under the theme of patriotism, along with performances by youth bands and dance teams. Despite the cloudy weather, many young people and citizens participated in the various activities.
Children who attended the event said, "The escape room game where we solved problems with our parents to rescue Bobo Ilbyeong and received prizes was the most fun," adding, "The older brothers and sisters performing on stage were cool. I was proud to make a beautiful Taeguk tree with the Taegukgi I made."
Director Cho Kyungcheol said, "I hope that during the Month of Patriots and Veterans in June, we all take this valuable time to reflect once again on the values of patriotism and honoring our veterans."
