Kim Kyun-ho, a member of the Seo-gu Council in Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 8th that he received the 'Local Legislative Service Award' from the Gwangju Metropolitan City Autonomous District Council Chairpersons Association (Chairman Kim Hyung-soo) in recognition of his contributions to the development of local legislative activities.
Councilman Kim was awarded for his efforts to develop local legislation as a learning council through the formation of a research group last year, and for his activities that allowed local residents to feel the role of the local council in their daily lives.
Councilman Kim said, “I will continue to strive to be a learning council member and to engage in advanced legislative activities that residents can feel, and ultimately make residents feel more deeply that they are the center and representatives in the process of local autonomy development. I would like to express my deep gratitude once again for receiving the Local Legislative Service Award.”
Last year, Councilman Kim formed the research group ‘Value (WITH)’ to enhance council members’ legislative capabilities for the first time in Seo-gu Council and served as the representative member. He also received a letter of appreciation from the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology’s Local Autonomy Research Institute for his dedication to the development of local autonomy in Korea.
