Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District, Seoul, attended the opening ceremony of the “Korea Disabled Traffic Culture Association Gangseo Branch” held at 829-9 Banghwa-dong on the afternoon of the 7th.
About 70 people attended the opening ceremony, including Mayor Jin, Lee Jang-myeong, President of the Korea Disabled Traffic Culture Association Gangseo Branch, and members of local disabled organizations.
In his greeting, Mayor Jin said, “Although the number of traffic accident fatalities decreases every year, the rate of acquired disabilities caused by traffic accidents remains high, so proactive prevention is important. I am very reassured that the Disabled Traffic Culture Association is working hard to prevent traffic accidents,” and added, “The district will also make various efforts to promote the rights and interests of people with disabilities.”
Going forward, the association plans to support preventive activities to avoid traffic accidents and expand opportunities for social participation for people with disabilities who have been disabled due to unexpected traffic accidents.
