Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, Reduces This Year's Regular Road Occupancy Fees by 25%

Following the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's request for cooperation in implementing the road occupancy fee reduction, Gwangsan-gu decided to reduce the fees to alleviate the economic burden on small business owners and others. Among the 2024 regular road occupancy fee targets, 4,771 cases will receive a 25% reduction amounting to 980 million KRW.

The beneficiaries include small business owners, private businesses, and individuals, who can automatically receive the reduction benefits without a separate application process. However, public institutions, local public enterprises, and cases with temporary road occupancy permits are excluded from the reduction.

For businesses eligible to issue a small business owner certificate, an additional 10% reduction can be obtained through a separate application for vehicle access roads used for the business premises of small business owners.

Along with the fee reduction, Gwangsan-gu postponed the billing period by three months until June. Accordingly, the notices will be sent this month with the 25% reduced amount.

Road occupancy fees can be paid via automatic transfer, Wetax, and other methods. Payment by credit card at bank CD/ATM machines or via virtual accounts is also possible.
