Pohang City Holds Completion Report Meeting for Rural New Vitality Plus Project Basic Plan Establishment Service

Pohang City has successfully completed the service for establishing the Basic Plan for the Sin Hwalryeok Plus Project and held a briefing session in the small conference room at Pohang City Hall on the 7th.

On the 7th, Pohang City held a completion report meeting for the Rural New Vitality Plus Project basic plan establishment service in the city hall small conference room.

At this briefing, the head of the Sin Hwalryeok Plus Project Office in Pohang City provided a detailed report on the progress and process of establishing the basic plan.

The Basic Plan for the Sin Hwalryeok Plus Project in Pohang City was finalized by reflecting various opinions from the task force, advisory committee, and local residents, with the aim of promoting sustainable growth in rural areas by utilizing the tangible and intangible resources of the region. This was based on a consensus that cooperation between urban and rural communities is essential for rural development in Pohang, a city that combines both urban and rural characteristics.

During the briefing, major projects for the vision of the Sin Hwalryeok Plus Project in Pohang City, ‘Urban-Rural Sympathetic Rural Area, Happy Pohang,’ were introduced, including the fostering and organization of urban-rural sympathetic communities, the activation of such communities, and the establishment of a self-reliant foundation for these communities.

Participants also raised various questions and opinions about the Sin Hwalryeok Plus Project and discussed the direction for the project's development and future plans.

Vice Mayor Jang Sanggil stated, “The completion of the basic plan for the Sin Hwalryeok Plus Project in Pohang City will greatly contribute to improving the quality of life for local residents and revitalizing the local economy,” and added, “We ask for your continued interest going forward.”
