SamCNS is showing strong performance. Securities firms' analysis that sales for DRAM, including HBM, have entered a growth phase after moving away from NAND seems to be influencing the stock price.
At 10:10 AM on the 7th, SamCNS was trading at 7,800 KRW, up 6.56% from the previous day.
Yang Seung-su, a researcher at Meritz Securities, explained, "Two key changes occurred in DRAM-related sales in the first quarter of this year," adding, "We succeeded in supplying ceramic STF probe cards for Micron HBM3 through JAM." He continued, "TechnoProbe, a non-memory probe card specialist company, adopted SamCNS's ceramic STF during its business diversification into DRAM," and "the initial volume for Infineon Technologies is reflected in sales for the first time."
Furthermore, "Unlike other probe card companies, TechnoProbe is producing vertical-type probe cards," and "currently, mass production of probe cards for Samsung Electronics' HBM is underway."
He analyzed, "Since HBM requires finer pitch compared to existing DRAM, TechnoProbe's vertical probe cards are expected to have an advantage," and "if TechnoProbe succeeds in supplying HBM probe cards to Samsung Electronics, additional growth in SamCNS's ceramic STF sales for DRAM is anticipated."
Researcher Yang forecasted, "DRAM-related sales will grow to around 10 billion KRW this year," and "the growth in DRAM sales will continue along with additional entries into DRAM and HBM markets by probe card clients."
