149 Sites Including Transportation and Architectural Facilities, Large Construction Sites, Traditional Markets, and Steep Slopes Scheduled for Inspection
Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 5th that it conducted the ‘2024 Intensive Safety On-site Inspection of Vulnerable Facilities’ at landslide-prone areas, large construction sites, and civil defense emergency evacuation facilities.
This is part of the nationwide ‘Korea Safety Transformation Intensive Safety Inspection’ initiative. The purpose is to inspect facilities at risk of disasters and safety accidents, identify risk factors in advance, and raise residents' safety awareness.
During this on-site inspection, District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung, along with private experts and relevant departments, thoroughly examined the facilities to closely check for safety hazards.
From April 22 to May 21, during the intensive safety inspection period, Eunpyeong-gu plans to inspect 149 locations including transportation and construction facilities, large construction sites, traditional markets, and steep slopes, with participation from public officials and private experts in architecture, civil engineering, firefighting, and electrical fields.
Minor issues identified will be corrected on-site, and if serious defects are found, the history will be managed until the necessary measures for the facility are completed.
District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung stated, “We will carry out thorough and precise safety inspections to ensure that residents’ safety is not threatened in daily life,” adding, “We will prepare meticulously to protect residents’ lives and property from safety accidents.”
