On the 4th, the 'Sumok Safety Monitoring Team' Launch Ceremony Held... Formation of a New Resident-Led Network for Safety Monitoring in Daily Life
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) is launching the '365 Safe Dongjak Citizen Monitoring Group,' the first of its kind in Seoul, to prevent various disasters and safety accidents, and has officially begun its operation.
The district announced that on the 4th, it held the inauguration ceremony for the 'Tree Safety Monitoring Group,' a division of the 365 Monitoring Group that continuously monitors the health and risk signs of trees in the area.
At the inauguration ceremony, attended by Mayor Park Il-ha and 50 members of the Tree Safety Monitoring Group, on-site training was conducted to strengthen response capabilities, including education on the current status of trees in the district, management of disaster-risk trees, installation of tree tags, and demonstration of nutrient spraying.
The 365 Monitoring Group is a resident-led safety network organization that redefines the roles and activities of existing safety groups, newly establishing a group to respond to all risk factors, encouraging residents to voluntarily participate and propose improvement measures.
To promote safety monitoring activities in all areas closely related to residents' lives, the 365 Monitoring Group will be organized into 10 divisions: ▲Youth Harmful Environment ▲Food Hygiene ▲Street Trees and Trees ▲Construction Site Surroundings ▲Street Environment ▲Fire ▲School Zones ▲Advertisements ▲Parking and Stopping ▲Hazardous Facilities, and plans to expand and adjust according to social needs and changes in policy environment.
The existing activity groups, Youth Harmful Environment Monitoring Group and Consumer Food Hygiene Monitoring Group, will be incorporated into the 365 Monitoring Group for comprehensive management. Starting with the Tree Safety Monitoring Group, the organization will operate by securing support personnel with specialized knowledge.
Additionally, a separate Major Disaster Monitoring Group will be established to review the risk factor monitoring performance conducted by the 365 Monitoring Group and confirm the possibility of disaster occurrence to strengthen the safety management system.
Mayor Park Il-ha of Dongjak-gu said, “Through the operation of the 365 Safe Dongjak Citizen Monitoring Group, we will thoroughly identify risk factors in daily life,” and added, “We will continue to make every effort to protect the lives and property of residents from various disasters and safety accidents.”
