Tram Collision Accident Occurs in Russia... 1 Dead, Over 100 Injured

A tram collision occurred in Kemerovo, a city in southwestern Siberia, Russia, resulting in at least one death and over 100 injuries, according to foreign media reports.

On the 6th (local time), according to reports from Russia's TASS, Sputnik News, and AFP, two trams collided around 7:30 a.m. in Kemerovo.

A spokesperson for the regional branch of the Russian Federal Investigative Committee stated, "So far, 102 people have been injured, and among them, one person has died."

Footage of the accident released by Russian media shows one tram losing control while descending a hill and colliding with another tram that was stopped to pick up passengers.

The Federal Investigative Committee reported that an investigation is underway to determine whether there were any safety standard violations related to this accident.
