Jin Hyungik Appointed as Vice Chairman
The Changwon Metropolitan City Council in Gyeongnam has appointed Kim Woojin (representing Dong-eup, Daesan, and Buk-myeon) as the chairperson of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, and Jin Hyungik (proportional representative) as the vice-chairperson.
The Special Committee on Budget and Accounts will review the settlement of accounts for the 2023 fiscal year and the approval of reserve fund expenditures.
The committee consists of a total of nine members: Kim Myojeong, Lee Cheonsu and Jin Hyungik from the Planning and Administration Committee; Kim Kyunghee and Seong Bobin from the Economic, Welfare, and Women’s Committee; Son Taehwa and Jeong Sunuk from the Culture, Environment, and Urban Committee; and Kim Woojin and Park Haejeong from the Construction, Marine, and Agriculture Committee, all recommended by their respective standing committee chairpersons.

Chairperson Kim stated, "We will comprehensively examine whether the budget was executed according to the project objectives and legal regulations, and whether there were any factors of waste, and through in-depth review, contribute to the establishment of long-term financial plans."
Previously, Changwon City submitted a settlement of accounts totaling 4.7194 trillion won.
This settlement will undergo preliminary review by each standing committee from the 7th to the 19th, followed by a comprehensive review by the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts on the 25th and 26th, and is scheduled for final approval at the 4th plenary session on the 28th.
