Police officers and citizens in the Seoul area announced on the 5th that they will hold a 6.6km charity running event to support the children of fallen patrol officers.
The event will start at 8:30 a.m. on the 6th from Yebitseom in Seocho-gu and run 6.6km around the National Cemetery in Dongjak-gu, with about 120 police officers and general citizens participating. The participation fee (6,600 won per person) will be entirely donated to the Chamsuri Love Foundation, which supports the children of fallen police officers.
Yoon Hee-geun, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, said, “I express my gratitude to the police colleagues and citizens participating in this meaningful event to honor the spirit of the heroes who dedicated themselves to the nation and the people,” adding, “We will continue to make greater efforts so that police officers can devote themselves to their duties with pride and a sense of mission.”
