Asia's First Development of Condensing Boiler
'Ventilation Cleaner' Saves 72% Energy

On the 5th, marking the 29th Environment Day, Kyungdong Navien's air quality management technology is gaining attention. Environment Day was established in 1972 at the 'United Nations Conference on the Human Environment' to promote environmental conservation.

Kyungdong Navien took its first step as an 'air quality management company' by developing Asia's first condensing boiler in 1988. Compared to conventional boilers, the condensing boiler reduces gas consumption by 19% and lowers nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide, which cause air pollution, by 87% and 70%, respectively. In particular, it also reduces carbon dioxide emissions, the main cause of greenhouse gases, by 19%.

To manage air quality, Kyungdong Navien entered the ventilation market in 2006 and launched the 'ventilation purifier' in 2019. The ventilation purifier enables both air purification and ventilation without opening windows. In this process, polluted indoor air is expelled, and clean air filtered through a purification filter system is supplied indoors, allowing removal of gaseous particles such as formaldehyde, radon, and volatile organic compounds that cannot be eliminated by air purifiers alone. Additionally, a heat exchanger that reuses wasted energy is applied, reducing cooling and heating energy consumption by up to 36% and 72%, respectively.

Kyungdong Navien is also preparing a comprehensive air quality management solution with its 'condensing air conditioner.' The upcoming condensing air conditioner is an eco-friendly, high-efficiency product that applies technology to recycle thermal energy generated from district heating, solar heat, fuel cells, and more. Thanks to this, it reduces electricity consumption by 42% compared to system air conditioners. Unlike conventional air conditioners, it maintains a comfortable dehumidification by keeping the set temperature while sustaining appropriate humidity levels, and it is expected to function as a comprehensive solution implementing ventilation and air purification features as well.
