On the 4th at 3 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District Office in Seoul, attended the '2024 Nowon Social Economy Enterprises Public Procurement Expo' held at the Nowon District Office auditorium.
Started in 2017 and now in its 7th year, the 'Nowon District Social Economy Enterprises Public Procurement Expo' is an event designed to raise awareness about social economy enterprises and public procurement, as well as to promote and support the sales channels for products and services of social economy enterprises.
Hosted and organized by the Nowon District Office and the Nowon Social Economy Support Center, 17 growing social economy enterprises from various sectors within Nowon District participated, including events, performances, educational services, travel services, food, goods, construction, and cleaning.
In addition to operating consultation booths where purchasing consultations with the 17 participating companies took place, promotional booths were also set up with promotional materials and consultation cards from non-participating companies to promote a variety of enterprises. Furthermore, evaluation surveys and demand research were conducted through events to gather feedback from expo participants.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 200 people, including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, Kim Jun-sung, Chairperson of the Nowon District Council, city and district council members, heads of all district office departments (dong), and purchasing officers, proceeding with greetings, congratulatory speeches, and rounds of visits.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon District stated, "I hope this expo will serve as a stepping stone for social economy enterprises to grow into strong entities," and added, "We will continue to do our best to support promotion and market development to revitalize the social economy and local economy."
