Samsung Remains Silent on HBM Quality Test
"HBM Is Very Important to Us"
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, emphasized on the 4th during a media Q&A held at the Grand Hi-Lai Taipei in Taipei, Taiwan, that "SK Hynix, Micron, and Samsung Electronics, the three companies supplying high-bandwidth memory (HBM) to NVIDIA, are all excellent memory supply partners."

He did not respond to recent reports from U.S. foreign media that Samsung Electronics' 12-stack 36GB HBM3E product failed NVIDIA's qual test (quality verification), but it is interpreted that he indicated Samsung Electronics is also considered a partner company and maintains a close cooperative relationship.
CEO Huang stated, "The current lineup of artificial intelligence (AI) chips that NVIDIA holds requires considerable speed, and HBM is a very important component for us," adding, "NVIDIA is working to ensure that the three suppliers are qualified and can adapt to our manufacturing system as quickly as possible."
