Total Prize Money of 170 Million KRW
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Awarded to 1st Place Winner
Hyundai Mobis is hosting an algorithm competition with a total prize pool of 170 million KRW to find software (SW) talent.
On the 5th, Hyundai Mobis announced that applications for the "2024 Hyundai Mobis Algorithm Competition" will be accepted until the 25th.
The competition will proceed with an online preliminary round on the 29th and an offline final round on the 5th of next month. A total of 100 participants, 50 from the student division (university) and 50 from the general division who pass the preliminaries, will advance to the finals held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Participants will solve problems and submit source code within a limited time using four programming languages: C, C++, Java, and Python. Given Hyundai Mobis's business characteristics, the problems will focus on embedded system development, with constraints on memory, time, and programming languages.
The total prize money amounts to 170 million KRW. The gold prize (1st place) winners in both the student and general divisions will each receive an Ioniq 5 electric vehicle as a prize. Silver and bronze prize winners will receive 10 million KRW and 5 million KRW respectively.
Programs such as expert lectures and networking with current employees will be offered to finalists. Top-ranking winners will receive recruitment benefits such as exemption from document screening when applying for a position at Hyundai Mobis.
Now in its fourth year, the algorithm competition attracted about 3,000 participants last year. Hyundai Mobis plans to continue various recruitment-linked campaigns, including the algorithm competition, to rapidly transform into a software-centered "mobility platform provider."
