Add Dongdaemun-gu KakaoTalk Channel and Get Free Emoticons
Free Distribution to First 30,000 People Starting at 2 PM on the 5th
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 4th that starting from 2 PM on the 5th, the first 30,000 people who add the Dongdaemun-gu KakaoTalk channel will receive the ‘Didimi Emoticons’ for free.
The Didimi emoticons consist of 16 types of ‘animated Didimi’ that can be used in everyday conversations, including ▲celebration ▲greetings ▲sadness ▲bursting into laughter.
The district named its character ‘Didimi’ with the hope that it will serve as a stepping stone for Dongdaemun-gu to leap forward as a smart future city.
The helmet worn on the head is inspired by the Seonnongdan Hongsalmun gate, and the eaves curves at both ends of the helmet represent the history and tradition of Dongdaemun, including the Yakryeong Market.
The little hero of Dongdaemun-gu, ‘Didimi’ emoticons, which are used in various district events, promotional videos, and SNS, will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to 30,000 new subscribers of the ‘Dongdaemun-gu Office’ KakaoTalk channel starting from 2 PM on the 5th, with a usage period of 30 days.
Existing subscribers can participate in the event by blocking the channel and then adding the channel again from 2 PM on the 5th.
A district official said, “We ask for the residents’ great interest and use of Dongdaemun-gu’s new character ‘Didimi.’”
