Park Jungyeol, Former Standing Auditor of KOSME, Passes Away After Organ Donation Jungyeol Park, Former Standing Auditor of the Small and Medium Business Corporation.

Park Jungyeol, former Standing Auditor of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, has passed away at the age of 63.


Park, who served as the 10th and 11th member of the South Gyeongsang Provincial Council, was indicted and detained on charges of handing over 20 million won to an acquaintance in an attempt to secure a nomination as a preliminary candidate for the People Power Party in the Sacheon, Namhae, and Hadong constituency during the 22nd National Assembly election.


On the 19th of last month, while incarcerated at Jinju Prison, he collapsed after showing symptoms of cerebral hemorrhage. He was first transferred to a nearby hospital and then moved again to a hospital in Busan, where he passed away during treatment.


Before his passing, he gave the gift of new life to organ transplant recipients by donating his organs.


The memorial altar is set up in Room 301 of the Sacheon City Nonghyup Funeral Hall in Guam-ri, Sacheon-eup, Sacheon City. The funeral will be held at 8 a.m. on the 6th, and the burial site is Nuriwon in Sacheon City.
