The Changnyeong County delegation will visit Satsumasendai City Hall, Sendai Port where the international regular container route has been established, and Imuta Lake, which has been designated as a Ramsar wetland.

In addition, they plan to inspect major industrial sites in Satsumasendai City, such as the Yamamoto Sake Brewery and the Joyang Wine Factory, and discuss ways to expand areas of exchange for mutual development between the two cities.

Changnyeong County and Satsumasendai City signed a friendship city agreement in May 2012, following the invitation of the Yeongsan Juldarigi Preservation Society to the 400th anniversary of the Sentae Rope Tugging Festival in 1999.

Since then, the two cities have strengthened their friendly cooperative relationship through mutual benchmarking in administrative fields, youth sports and cultural exchanges, and reciprocal visits between the Changnyeong Cultural Center and the Satsumasendai Cultural Association.

Governor Sung said, "I hope that, in addition to regular delegation visits, exchanges will be expanded to broader areas such as administrative services, tourism, and the economy, so that the two cities can continue to develop together in a mutually beneficial relationship."
