According to the Korea Fisheries Infrastructure Public Agency on the 5th, the insurance broadly covers accidents occurring during about 50 types of experience activities conducted in fishing village experience and recreation villages, such as mudflat experiences, water boat experiences, and fishing experiences, as well as compensation for damages caused by food sold in the villages and building fires. Through this, fishing village experience and recreation villages nationwide are expected to reduce the burden of operating experience programs and complete preparations for visitors to safely visit before the peak season.
Na Seung-jin, head of the Fisheries and Marine Headquarters at the agency, stated, “We will strive to support projects to revitalize fishing village tourism so that visitors to fishing villages can safely enjoy experience programs.”
