Enhancing Mokpo City's Credibility Through Promotion of Integrity Awareness
On the 3rd, Park Hong-ryul, Mayor of Mokpo City, gave an integrity special lecture to employees on the theme of ‘Eradicating Workplace Power Harassment and Handling Malicious Complaints.’
According to the city on the 4th, this special lecture aimed to raise awareness of malicious complaints and workplace power harassment issues, and to promote integrity consciousness to improve Mokpo City's integrity level.
The lecture, personally conducted by Mayor Park, covered the importance of integrity, strategies for responding to malicious complaints, and prevention and improvement measures for workplace power harassment.

In particular, it emphasized communication among colleagues, highlighting the importance of understanding and empathizing with each other's feelings, and addressed the eradication of unfair work orders using positional authority.
Additionally, examples and practical measures for creating a considerate and respectful workplace culture to foster an honest public service life were introduced, receiving great responses from the attendees.
Mayor Park Hong-ryul urged employees to approach their work with an ‘integrity mindset,’ stating, “Integrity is a fundamental quality of public officials and the most important factor in gaining citizens’ trust.”
Meanwhile, Mokpo City is establishing a comprehensive anti-corruption and integrity policy plan to realize a ‘Clean Mokpo’ that is trustworthy and honest by 2024. The city plans to actively promote various integrity policies to improve corruption-prone areas through internal employee surveys, workplace power harassment surveys, and external complainant satisfaction surveys.
